Pobi

Overview

Pobi, an early seed startup, partnered with Whatfollows to design an enterprise solution that will provide employers human resource skill analytics.

As design partner, I worked with the founders to develop a product strategy and design a meaningful experience.

“I thought it was a chore, so I lost interest.”
— Noel, user
“This tells me that I am not where I am supposed to be, but, it does not say, how I need to solve my issues.”
— Joey, user

It was evident from a design review of the product and interviews with users who have been using an early version of the product, that the product was not relevant to employees - it offered no useful outcome and was laborious.  It became clear that the next iteration of the product would have to prioritise employees goals and needs over management.

The experience proposed was centred around professional development. Employees were offered the opportunity to identify and prioritise which of their skills and expertise lag behind peers and colleagues, and then presented with a development process and activities that will help them acquire the relevant skills to advance in the right direction.
